Bruno Salsicce

Ciao, bella!

Bruno Salsicce is a proud mommy's boy with a Lynx scent that will enter the room first. A member of the Packer’s Playhouse family, the first ever Drag King winner of the The 86’s Drag-A-Thon in 2022, and two-time winner of Pride of our Footscray 'Draggiest Home Video' 2020 competition. In 2022 Bruno wrote and starred in the poetic theatrical story of SON OF A at Melbourne Fringe. You can find this wog boy as a regular on the stages of the Smith St queer clubs and your local Macca’c car park.

Despite his unearned confidence, unapologetic bad jokes and unnecessary chest hair, you can’t help but love Bruno. This charming sax player will make you swoon, and forget all about the fact that you are probably cousins.

"There he sits at his dining room throne. Not saying much as his family flutter around him. He’s reminded of his father. We’re all someone’s son."

A grandfather, father and son share stories from their youth.

Finding a home in a new country. Building a legacy. Making a father proud.

A queer love letter to Italian men, examining how masculinity has evolved over generations, premiering at Melbourne Fringe Festival 2022.

Combing theatre, poetry and drag to discover what is inherited, broken and longed for.
